Account deletion
Use this page to request deletion of your BITis account and associated personal data.
How to request account deletion
If you can access your BITis account, open the BITis app and go to Account Settings, then Account Deletion. Submit the deletion request from there so BITis can verify that the request came from the account holder.
BITis is provided by ROMNINE. Account deletion requests submitted through this page or by email are handled for the BITis app and the bitis.africa marketplace.
If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion by email. Send the request from the email address connected to your BITis account where possible, and include your full name, phone number, and the email address or phone number used for the account.
Data that may be deleted
After a deletion request is approved, BITis may delete or anonymise account profile data, saved addresses, app preferences, non-essential support records, and other personal data that is no longer reasonably required to operate the marketplace or meet legal obligations.
Data that may be retained
Some information may be kept where needed for active orders, delivery, returns, refunds, fraud prevention, dispute handling, platform safety, tax or accounting records, legal compliance, security logs, or legitimate business records. Where possible, retained records may be limited, archived, or anonymised.
Request deletion by email
Email BITis at support@bitis.africa with the subject "Account deletion request". BITis may ask for information needed to verify account ownership before processing the request.
